On 22 March 2018 at 18:00 the three current artists-in-residence at Maison Dora Maar, Liz Brown, David Grand, and Rozalie Hirs, present their work to the public. With special thanks to Gwen Strauss, director of Maison Dora Maar.

Liz Brown talks about and reads from Twilight Man: The Strange Life and Times of Harrison Post, to be published by Viking. David Grand speaks about and reads from his fourth novel. Rozalie Hirs speaks about the compositional ideas underlying her new work parallel world and sea to be premiered by ASKO|Schönberg in May 2018. The presentations and subsequent rounds of questions are to be followed by a reception.

David Grand is the author of three novels: Louse (a New York Times Notable Book of the Year and a Los Angeles Times Best Book of the Year); The Disappearing Body; and Mount Terminus (selected for Editor’s Choice by the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and Le Figaro).

Liz Brown is at work on Twilight Man: The Strange Life and Times of Harrison Post, to be published by Viking. She has been a visiting writer at Wesleyan University and a faculty member in the International Center for Photography-Bard MFA program.

Rozalie Hirs is a Dutch composer and poet whose work is lyrical as well as experimental. Her music is performed by groups including include the Amsterdam Sinfonietta, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, and the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra.

Rozalie Hirs est une poète et compositeur hollandaise. Sa poésie comme sa musique sont lyriques tout autant qu’expérimentales. Sa musique a été interprétée par la Sinfonietta d’Amsterdam, le Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra et le Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra.
