On 27 April 2019 at 12:00 (noon) Rozalie Hirs is presenting a poetry performance/ lecture at the Public Library in San Francisco, California, United States. The event takes place during the National Poetry Month. Rozalie talks about intermedial aspects of her poetry and music, followed by a poetry reading and performance of the poetry/music hybrids Bridge of Babel (2009), and To the sun (2006). The event lasts about an hour.
The poems are selections from her three latest books Geluksbrenger (2008), gestamelde werken (2012), and verdere bijzonderheden (2017), published by Uitgeverij Querido|Singeluitgeverijen, translated by Donald Gardner. The multilingual poetry/music hybrid Bridge of Babel (2009) is part of her CD Pulsars (2010), released by Attacca Productions.
