On Tuesday 9 September 2025, Lex Bohlmeijer reads the poem ‘the ferryman’ (1995) by Rozalie Hirs, selected from her poetry debut collection Locus (Querido, 1998), on the program Passaggio Late Night (NPO Klassiek).
That same week, from September 8 to 12, Hirs’ album Infinity Stairs (2025) is featured as Hollandse Nieuwe (the Dutch album of the week). Each evening a different track is broadcast, accompanied by a conversation with the composer. On Tuesday, September 9, listeners hear article 5 [dolphin, curved time] (2008; text and music: Rozalie Hirs, in Dutch or German), performed by soprano Keren Motseri. The piece was commissioned by Marja Bon for Festival Wendingen.
