On Friday 17 June 2005 at 8PM, Richard Ayres’ new opera The cricket recovers (2005) will be performed again at the 58th Aldeburgh Festival in England. The libretto is written by Rozalie Hirs based on the eponymous novella by Toon Tellegen. The libretto was translated into English by John Irons.
