On 7 October 2005 at 8 pm, Ensemble Modern presents the concert YUN Isang und danach – Zeitgenössische koreanische Musik. Part of the program is the world premiere of the composition Ich spreche Dir nach for flute, bass clarinet, percussion, harp, violin, viola and violoncello (2005) by Sun-Young Pahg, based on the poem ‘Responsorium’ by Rozalie Hirs, selected from Hirs’ second poetry book Logos (Nederlands; Amsterdam: Uitgeverij Querido, 2002). As starting material, the composer Pahg used sound recordings of Hirs’ recitation of the Dutch original and translations into German, English, and French.
