From 3-12 November 2017 November Music, the contemporary music festival of The Netherlands, takes place in Den Bosch. During its Kunstmuziek Route on 12 November 2017 at 12:00 CET the British pianist Philip Thomas presents the world premiere of meditations for piano and electronic sounds (2017) by Rozalie Hirs, followed by two additional performances in the afternoon, at 13:00 and 14:00 CET respectively. In addition, the programme includes senza misura by Christopher Fox. With special thanks to Elizabet van der Kooij for the sound diffusion in the hall.
Meditations was composed with financial support of a Stipend from the Netherlands Performing Arts Fund and an Artist’s Award from the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity.

The concerts take place in De Hofzaal (the courtroom) of Muzerije, Hinthamerstraat 74, Den Bosch, The Netherlands. This former palace of the bishop is located behind Sint-Janskatherdraal (Saint John’s Cathedral) in the city centre of Den Bosch. It is in walking distance of the main train station of ‘s-Hertogenbosch.
