On Sunday 14 September 2025 at 15:00 CET, poets Yousra Benfquih, Annelie David, Kreek Daey Ouwens, Rozalie Hirs, and Sarah de Koning present the poetry event Amor mundi, with tributes to Friederike Mayröcker (20 December 1924 – 4 June 2021) and Hannah Arendt (14 October 1906 – 4 December 1975). The event was created through close collaboration among the poets, based on an idea by Annelie David. The event is made possible by Stichting Man in de Maan. Visuals and music are provided by Ben Leenen and Ineke van Doorn.

Rozalie reads poems and excerpts from her books Speling (2005), verdere bijzonderheden (2017), and dagtekening van liefdesvormen (2024), published by Uitgeverij Querido.

‘Amor mundi’ is a Latin term meaning “love of the world.” Philosopher Hannah Arendt used it to describe a devotion to our shared world—a recognition and embrace of human plurality without slipping into sentimentality.
