On 30 November and 1 December 2010 Rozalie Hirs is Visiting Lecturer at the Composition Department of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, London. During those two days she presents a lecture and a workshop on compositional techniques and the application of the OpenMusic software (IRCAM) as part of the compositional process. In addition she gives one-to-one composition lessons to the students.
Throughout the academic year 2010-11 Rozalie Hirs is Visiting Lecturer at the Guildhall School, consisting of three or more residencies in London with masterclasses, workshops, and composition lessons. Hirs teaches contemporary compositional techniques to innovate the compositional process and open up new musical realms.
