On 14 November 2013, the publisher Wereldbibliotheek pays homage to its beloved poet, essayist, critic, and editor Hans Groenewegen.

On 10 June 2013, Hans Groenewegen passed away. Two days later, his poetry book blijven & verreizen (Amsterdam: Wereldbibliotheek, 2013) appeared. Hans had worked on this collection for ten months, adding his own commentaries, and asked fellow poets to write new poems, commenting on his.

On 14 November 2013, this latest collection of poetry by Hans Groenewegen takes center stage during a celebration of his poetry, and life. Daniël Rovers & Liesbeth Lagemaat present lectures, highlighting Hans as a poet, poetry editor, and essayist. In addition, Edwin Fagel, Rozalie Hirs, Han van der Vegt, Joost Baars, Ben Zwaal, Elma van Haren, Anneke Brassinga, Samuel Vriezen, and Frans Budé read Hans Groenewegen’s poetry, followed their own poetic comments. Erik Spinoy and Alfred Schaffer are present via video chat.
