On Sunday, 15 June, 2025, at 15:00-17:30 CET, the exhibition Forum [1–10] Housewarming opens at ENTER ENTER gallery. During the event, the tenth and final issue of Forum will be launched: #10 – The Attic.
Forum is an initiative by AetA, Architectura et Amicitia. Between 2018 and 2025, the editorial team – Machiel Spaan (editor-in-chief), Elsbeth Ronner, Sandra Kassenaar, Bart de Baets, Like Bijlsma, Luuk Kramer, and Vibeke Gieskes – created ten editions, each dedicated to one space in the home:
#1 Hall
#2 Kitchen
#3 Utility Room
#4 Living Room
#5 Study
#6 Gallery
#7 Garden
#8 Animal Shelter
#9 Bedroom
#10 Attic
The contributions explore how architecture relates to culture, everyday life, and social questions such as care, safety, craftsmanship, shelter, and imagination. Starting from familiar spaces, the series unfolds a journey through ideas, metaphors, buildings, and design practices.
All editions were designed by Bart de Baets and Sandra Kassenaar. The final editing of the texts was carried out by Vibeke Gieskes and Romy Schuit. The poet-in-residence Rozalie Hirs contributed a new poem for each issue. The project was made possible through the support of AetA members, contributions from thirty donors, and a grant from the BPD Cultuurfonds.
The exhibition runs from 15 to 29 June 2025, and is open Thursday to Saturday from 13:00 to 17:00 CET. On 24 June 2025 from 19:00 to 21:00 CET, The AetA Conversation takes place – an evening about the significance of Forum since 1918, with a focus on the recent ten-part series on the house and why attention to dwellings remains such an important topic today.
