From 8 November 2025 until 4 January 2026, the exhibition Best Dutch Book Designs is shown at the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam. Part of the selection and exhibition is Rozalie Hirs’ recent poetry book dagtekening van liefdesvormen (Amsterdam: Uitgeverij Querido, 2024), designed by Michaël Snitker.

Each year, the Stedelijk Museum and the Stichting De Best Verzorgde Boeken present a selection of the most remarkable and carefully designed publications of the previous year. From 8 November, the new edition will be on view in the museum. The selected titles stand out for their content, design, lithography, typography, choice of materials, printing and binding. The jury consisted of Anniek Meinders (Head of Publications, Van Gogh Museum), Lyanne Tonk (designer), Mirelle van Tulder (artist, designer), Jochem Öfner (management, printer RaddraaierSSP) and Marc Lamain (design historian).

Since 2008, Michaël Snitker has designed all of Hirs’ poetry books appearing with Querido Publishers, Amsterdam. Below are photographs of Snitker’s recent design in the catalogue of the current exhibition at Stedelijk Museum.
