On 16 October 2024 at 20:15 CET, Ensemble Klang presents the new work charms, symmetries (2024) by Rozalie Hirs at Amare/Nieuwe Kerk, The Hague. The new work was commissioned by the ensemble and is dedicated to the memory of Louis Andriessen (1939-2021).
Ensemble Klang consists of Saskia Lankhoorn (piano), Pete Harden (guitars, artistic director), Anton van Houten (trombone, director), Erik-Jan de With (saxophones), Michiel van Dijk (saxophones), Joey Marijs (percussion). The above photo of Ensemble Klang was taken by Jasper van Gheluwe.
From early 2023 to late 2024, Rozalie Hirs is Associate Maker at Ensemble Klang in The Hague. Last year, Klang performed her poetry and music cycle dreams of airs (2017-18) at Muze van Zuid & Dag in de Branding.
