February 24, 2025 – This morning, the books selected for The Best Designed Books exhibition at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam were announced. The selection and exhibition are made possible by Stichting De Best Verzorgde Boeken.
Each year, the foundation highlights 33 books that represent the finest achievements in graphic design, celebrating works crafted with passion and precision. These books stand out for their exceptional design, strong editorial vision, and outstanding lithography, printing, and binding. The jury meets annually at the end of January to make its selection. In addition to the expert jury, a student jury is assembled in collaboration with ArtEZ (Arnhem), Gerrit Rietveld Academie (Amsterdam), HKU (Utrecht), KABK (The Hague), and Minerva (Groningen).
The poetry collection dagtekening van liefdesvormen (Querido, 2024) by Rozalie Hirs, designed by Michaël Snitker, has been selected and will be showcased later this year at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.
