Loods 6 is a landmark on the so-called KNSM-island. It was once the arrival and departure hall of the Koninklijke Nederlandsche Stoomboot Maatschappij. Since 1997, the building has been used as a gathering place for artists, creative companies, and special shops in the field of art, design, literature and other healthy food for body & mind. The luggage hall, the compass hall and the spectacular entrance hall of Loods6 are used for events, and exhibitions. The picture above shows a detail of the permanent murals by Cuno van den Steene in the compass hall: Atlanta, the mythical figure symbolising the Altantic Ocean.
