From early 2023 to the end of 2024, Rozalie Hirs serves as Associate Maker with the renowned Ensemble Klang in The Hague. In 2023, Ensemble Klang XL, together with vocal artist Michaela Riener and conductor Hardy Li, presents Rozalie Hirs’ cycle dreams of airs (poetry and music; 2017-18) in The Hague and Amsterdam. In 2024, the premiere of her new composition charms, symmetries (2024) follows, commissioned by the ensemble, with performances in The Hague and Tilburg. Additionally, her work platonic id (2005-06) is featured in a program by the Contemporary Ensemble Academy at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, where Rozalie Hirs will also be a guest during a Meet the Composer event.
Ensemble Klang includes Saskia Lankhoorn (piano), Pete Harden (guitars, artistic director), Anton van Houten (trombone, business director), Erik-Jan de With (saxophones), Michiel van Dijk (saxophones), and Joey Marijs (percussion).
