From 8 until 9 June 2019 Rozalie Hirs is a guest poet at the 37th Marché de la Poésie, Paris, France, and as such one of the official delegates of the Netherlands Foundation for Literature. She performs during the evening program on Saturday 8 June 2019 at 18:30 CET and is interviewed by Margot Dijkgraaf the following afternoon, on Sunday 9 June 2019, at 15:30 CET. The location is Scène du Marché, Place Saint-Sulpice, in front of Église Saint-Sulpice, Paris, France. The 37e Marché de la Poésie (2019) is supported by the Netherlands Foundation for Literature.
Hirs’ poems have been translated into French by Kim Andringa, Daniel Cunin, and Henri Deluy. The poems are selections from her three latest books Geluksbrenger (2008), gestamelde werken (2012), and verdere bijzonderheden (2017), published by Uitgeverij Querido|Singeluitgeverijen.
The 37th Marché de la Poesie takes place from 5-9 June 2019. The guest of honour at this year’s edition is The Netherlands, presenting the poets Simone Bekono, Benno Barnard, Anneke Brassinga, Tsead Bruinja, Radna Fabias, Rozalie Hirs, Frank Keizer, Hester Knibbe, K. Michel, Martijn den Ouden, and K. Schippers. Featured translators are Kim Andringa and Daniel Cunin.
